These photos were taken in my kitchen at home in Corona CA. The subjects of these photos were family members such as; my mom, my step dad, and my cousins. I took these later in the night so I could control the light and not worry about the sun. Being able to control the light helped me a lot, as well as helping me practice adjusting my aperture and ISO. While editing these I tried to make the bright colors (pink, white, red) stand out amongst the more bland colors (black, brown, gray). To create the diptych and triptych I used photoshop. This was a bit difficult as I kept having technical issues while adding photos and cropping. I resolved this by making the background black and trying new methods of sizing and cropping. My main focus of these photos was to tell a story of what others can't see in the moment. I wanted to show what people are hiding from each other wether that be a pleasant surprise or a strategic move in an intense game. A couple issues I had while taking these photos were not being able to get a steady shot and editing the photos to be similar in color. I hope to be able to get more steady shots and fix my editing in the next assignment.
